Night Sky Tour: Milky Way & the Summer Triangle
From 9:30-10:15 p.m. on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22 in the Night Sky Viewing Area, experience the splendor of the dark sky, including the Milky Way and the Summer Triangle, an astronomical asterism involving Altair, Deneb and Vega, the brightest stars in the constellations of Aquila, Cygnus and Lyra respectively. Also, discover two planets, Jupiter and Saturn in a sea of stars. During this laser-guided tour, park staff will recount the legends and myths about these constellations. Following the program, park telescopes will be available for a closer look at these celestial bodies. Pre-registration is required.
